Orcas Island (Eastsound) is a great place to base camp if you are looking to spend time exploring the San Juan Islands.  Plenty of space to tie down and pitch your tent with hot showers and great food just a short bike ride from the airport.  The beach is also a short distance away from strip.  Don't miss the sunsets from the beach!  From Eastsound take off and explore Friday Harbor, Roche Harbor, Lopez island and several of the other small airports in the area.  The San Juans are simply beautiful and well worth spending a few days hopping from island to island.
